The A.M. Qattan Foundation is seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual for the position of Project Assistant Coordinator to work in its offices in Ramallah. Following is the detailed job description for this position:
Position Type: Full time
Duration: Two years
Program: Performing Arts Network Program (PAN)
Line of Responsibilities: PAN Program Manager
Job Purpose:
To provide logistical and co-ordination support to the program manager working on the Performing Arts Network Program funded by the European Commission and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). The Project Assistant Coordinator will carry out all planned activities in an effective and timely manner. In addition, she/ he will ensure that project implementation is according to the milestones set in the approved action plan.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
-Coordinate all project tasks with the program manager and ensure timely delivery, monitoring and reporting of them
-Engage with stakeholders, including organizing meetings and workshops
-Engage with the program partners, including organizing and preparing materials required for meetings, retreats, joint events and workshops
-In coordination with the program manager, participate in all meetings, workshops and retreats and take meeting minutes
-Accompany the program manager on various field visits - preparing field visit reports and taking photographs
-Actively update the website and social networks of the Performing Arts Network with new content, pictures, videos and news on regular basis
-Prepare a monthly calendar of events for all partner activities
-Contribute to the planning, preparations, and undertaking of various procurement activities
-In coordination with the program manager and accountant, issue payment requests for program partner expenses
-Represent the project and its activities in a positive and professional manner
-Perform any other work entrusted to him / her by the Program Manager
Skills/Qualifications:
-Bachelor degree in business administration, English or any related field,
-At least 2 years of proven experience in coordinating projects, preferably related to the arts and culture fields,
-Good knowledge of the arts and cultural scene in Palestine. Knowledge and engagement in the performing arts field is highly desirable,
-Excellent organizational skills - ability to schedule and prioritize people and activities to meet operational deadlines,
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
-Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English is a must,
-Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc),
-Ability to handle multi-tasks in a fast paced environment.
